Cameron Young (born May 7, 1997) is an American professional golfer.

In high school, Young played on the golf team at Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx in New York. Young later committed to Wake Forest University.

PGA Tour participation earned in 2021

Young qualified for the Korn Ferry Tour's Pinnacle Bank Championship in late July 2020 and finished 11th, earning him an appearance in the next event. A string of four finishes of 16th or better, culminating with a runner-up finish at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship, earned him plenty of points. That made him a temporary special member for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.

Young won two consecutive Korn Ferry Tour events in May 2021 and finished the 2020-21 regular season 19th on the points list, earning him a PGA Tour card for 2021-22.

In February 2022, Young finished second at the Genesis Invitational and moved into the top 100 of the Official World Rankings. In May 2022, Young finished third at the 2022 PGA Championship.

In the first round of the 2022 Open Championship, Young played a bogey-free round of eight-under par (64) to lead the leaderboard by two strokes. He finished in second place at 19-under par, one stroke behind Cameron Smith.

Named Rookie of the Year

In September 2022, Young was named to the U.S. team for the 2022 Presidents Cup; of the four matches he played, he won one, played to a tie and lost two.

Young won the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year (Arnold Palmer Award) with 94 percent of the vote.
