About us

Behind this site are creative minds of completely different nature.

One of them, a trained journalist, has completely succumbed to the fascination of golf - after some initial hesitation (see blog). He has learned to love the game with the little white ball as a contrast to his daily work in front of the computer in the office and also as an enrichment to his everyday life: "There is hardly anything better than standing on the first tee, concentrating on the first drive and feeling the pressure drop off you and all your other problems fade into the background. Then it's just me and the ball. Wonderful."

The other, a studied computer aficionado, has so far been able to resist the game with the little ball.

Update: The resistance has been broken. According to the motto "I have to know which field we're working on here," the technician did indeed hit a ball after some hesitation ... and then another ... and another. It's impossible to count how many there have been in the meantime. Because, against all expectations, golf fever has finally taken hold of him, too. And so he already owns a brand-new set of clubs, plus a bag, trolley, shoes and other equipment. Everything you need for a round on the course. The only thing missing is the license to play golf - yet. Conclusion: Welcome to the club of golf maniacs.

Nevertheless, or perhaps precisely because of this difference, the collaboration results in the perfect symbiosis. The golf knowledge of one meets a profound expertise of the other. Together they decided to bring this site to life.

Time has shown that each can - and will - learn a lot from the other. Behind the scenes of this site, the computer expert can introduce his counterpart to the world of ones and zeros and thus show that the PC is more than a simple user device with ready-made programs. The golf enthusiast can arouse interest in the game on the course, which is so much more than just a walk following the path of a small white ball.

The common goal now is to provide information without neglecting the feeling. Because both are inseparable in the game of golf. Whether it's knowing the equipment and using it correctly or swallowing the anger over a missed shot and concentrating on the next one, the motto is: after the shot is before the shot.

All this is presented here in a reader-friendly way, illustrated in detail and explained clearly.

Apropos illustrated. Not only are the text and technology supervised by experts, but a professional has also been recruited for a selection of images:

The trained photo designer Uwe A. Kirsten. With his trained eye, he brings the icing on the cake to the appearance of KaisGolfGuide and ensures that data and facts are vividly visualized. If you want to see and know more about him, you will find an impressive selection of his work at: neu-west.de
